German Versions of my Essays

This message is only relevant to German speakers or those with friends in Germany (or Austria).

Christoph Petersell, who has translated many of my essays, is now leading a team to translate my new and recent essays and put them onto a German-language substack. Subscribe to it below, or send this link to a German-speaking friend.

Charles Eisenstein auf Deutsch

Zur schöneren Welt – Visionen einer lebenswerten Zukunft

Here is the message I wrote for the introduction which gives some background of this project.

As a writer and speaker I have long had a special relationship with Germany (and Austria). Very early on, a lovely German professor, Eike Richter, took on the monumental task of translating The Ascent of Humanity, purely on his own initiative and asking no money. He was joined by Jürgen Hornschuh to finish this endeavor. Later Nikola Winter, Joachim Langer, Michelle Pirko Warkentin, Daniel Germer, Cornelia Gottwald and Stephan Pfannschmidt became involved in the translation work. Today, Christoph Peterseil, Janet Klünder, Ingrid Suprayan, Vanessa Groß, Bobby Langer and Kristina Kanders are active in the team and work on translations of essays. Over the years they translated all of my books and many essays also. Their generosity and belief in the value of my work has been a huge encouragement for me in those moments when I was in doubt myself.
