Thank you Charles, for my part was no need to explain yourself, although I liked you saving some money on therapists :)

One problem may be this: 'I read' is not the same as 'I understand', and people read a lot, but …

As always, love your tireless commitment to break down the trauma triad and return us, more fully, to ourselves. It takes decades and a lot of deep work to arrive at the place you articulate, and to keep returning to it when the pressures of life reintroduce binaries and oppositions. It is really a higher order of consciousness, and I don't mean to be elite in saying that. It's a developmental achievement that for me, has came following blow after blow! To the detractors and psychoanalysts in your responders I would say: Thank you for your interest. Clearly there is something here that beckons your attention. Unfortunately, however, it seems you are not understanding what I am saying (yet?). If your heart calls you, go deeper towards the mystery. Find a path to support you. Then practice. The mystery will slowly erode all you think you are, and, in return, will give you the World as you have never seen it before. Listen. Listen deeper. Let yourself follow the call.

Oh Charles please keep on writing. You bring peace and calmness to my mind. What you say makes so much sense to me and it comes from love in its fullest sense. I do not know anyone else that would go in so deeply into the issues but how can we hope to understand if we do not get to the roots and see what is there. what is there the roots bring up.

The point is slippery, and easy to miss.

Liked “stop searching for fault” and stepping out of blame and seeing the world through different eyes. I call it the fiery knowing of love. Love is a fire that warms, gives life and burns, a warrior of joy and peace. An ancient saying - “the glory of God is a man fully alive”

Part of the current milieu - a very big part - is the suppression and denigration of subtle and complex thought, along with the loss of our ability to appreciate it. We communicate in tweets and memes, limited sound-bytes that have their use in forcing us to condense an idea down to its essence, but at the expense of subtlety and nuance. And of course, this has resulted in the proliferation of potted and ready-made opinions and ideas.

But some of us do still appreciate nuanced thought and complex ideas - please keep going!

Thank you for the intermission, with the summary. I had put off reading the essay, because I didn't have time, and I never put much effort into philosophy. But I read the series this morning. Too pedantic for my taste, but interesting. I'd have covered it in a couple of paragraphs, but much less entertaining. My view of the world is much simpler -- I want some things, others want things, people and nature, and we compete to get what we want. Not a matter of good or evil, but of competing interests. It's a fundamental law of the universe, which physicists call entropy. Everything deteriorates, including relationships, unless constant effort is applied to maintain or improve it. I seek to improve things. It's easy to call those who oppose me as "evil," but I recognize they might feel the same about me, so I just focus on improvement. Maybe I'll call my version "vacuum the dust, patch the bone."

Great stuff, Charles. Keep it up. I know it’s not a race, but I feel like you are about a half a lap ahead of me In understanding the massive shift that is happening in the world. Until we can ALL see those whom we “other” as equals and forgive those whom we feel have wronged us, we will remain stuck. That which you put in darkness calls you to the darkness.

One issue I deal with, particularly with the shallow type of new ager, is the question being dealt with by this article.

When are we manifesting victim mentality, and when are we genuinely victims? Can we address being victimised without acknowledging the fact that we have become victims? I don't think we can. We must own up to having been victimised, and I for one, believe very strongly, that the human race has been victimised by the oppressive elites, to the point where we have suffered a lifetime of exposure to deadly toxic elements designed to dumb us down and render us physically, emotionally and mentally incompetent.

The real issue for us is how long we stay in that crushing "feeling" of being a victim, and how long it takes us deploy our strength and intelligence to mitigate the impacts of that victimisation, as best we can. To what extent can we, and do we, take charge of our own destiny, knowing that we have been and probably still are, victims of malevolent entities out to harm us?

Love the fuckity fuck out of your zoomed-out-so-far-it-decentres-all-our-egos position, Chuck E's in Love.

Thank you for all your work over the past decade, I've benefitted over and over from it 💚

Excellent. On all fronts.

Charles, I am appreciating your patience to educate and explain these things to a somewhat reactive, and/or at times myopic, section of readership.

Keep up the great work.

"why do people read it that way?" I learned early on, they don't read, they "trust the science". They don't read the header. They don't read the article. They don't read the abstract. They don't read the footnotes. They don't read the references. They have a packaged opinion, they cut and paste. They don't even read that.
