Thank you Charles. I appreciate what you've shared here. My heart is deeply touched by your account of Jimi and Matthew. For me it's a reminder of the loving nature of the human Heart (spirit) in its innocence or natural state ... not overly encumbered by life-negating conditioning. I warmly encourage you in your drive to share your life-affirming perspective on humanity, this world, and the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible. ❤️ 🌎 ☀️
Amen to that! The same goes for the wokesters' overbroad and arbitrary notion of "cultural appropriation" as well. It is basically a permanent, perpetual, collectivized version of intellectual property writ large. Nevermind that intellectual property itself is a Western capitalist notion imposed on the world, that is no more than a couple of centuries old. They can't seem to see the irony, lol.
Generosity is a natural impulse. My wife recently shopped for an electric bike with her friend. Two were available, one more expensive. The friend insisted my wife have it and suggested that they total the two prices, divide, and each pay the same. So they could ride together. That's the new economy!
"The cultural commons..." Yes. That is what we have lost, our heritage as humans for hundreds of thousands of years. Much distortion and suffering comes from that loss including the awful games played around "ownership" of private property, not just the landscape and structures on it but the life force of those who work on it for our gain. All of this a futile attempt by the overblown ego to own time itself
I'm a part owner of a bookstore. Reach out to Tom at RiverRun Bookstore of Portsmouth, NH. He's a huge fan of yours. Ask him to host an event with you or something, a video, your ideas, a presentation even over zoom would be great. He'd fall over with glee and is extremely bright about how to host, publish and more.
I feel honoured to have recently become friends with Tonika, an encounter that speaks to me about how the universe will hook you up with what you need if you are open to it. I think we close down to love because we are frightened of having it torn away from us, I feel pretty much the same about greed being a fear of lack. Equally the lust for power is because those who seek it have been convinced by the ego that power and control over others is what brings one happiness. Of course it doesn't. So they seek more and more hoping to be satiated one day and in that quest lose all sight of love. I discovered your work five years ago Charles, you are a lighthouse in a dark storm. I'm not especially religious but I think you exemplify Mathew 6 verses 28 - 34 in the King James Bible: Consider the lilies of the field. Thank you.
I've just read this, it's lovely (and funny) in its mud-sinking grimness. 'Its foot soldiers are unsuspecting.' Nail on the head. The Orwell thing is a bit of an eye-opener, not to mention Crowley. I thank you for it but I still think we are going to win.
Brava, Tonika! I loved the synergistic dance between your words and her images... As I said to her, it's like Rogers and Astaire -- such a graceful give and take. Glad you posted it here, Charles!

Nice try, imposter. You are not the real Charles Eisenstein.

I look forward to watching Tonika's latest creation! She is a joy to work with and did a beautiful job with our first video collaboration last month:
• “Do You Remember?” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/do-you-remember-video)
Great joy, collaborating with you, Margaret.
🙌
Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously with the world, Charles. 🙏

When asked why he didn't patent the polio vaccine, Dr Jonas Salk, its inventor, replied "That would be like patenting the sun."

I have written something, illustrated with images created by a person I love, and I wanted to send it to you.
I don't know if you will have time to read, Charles, or if you will like it - I hope at least that you won't mind me placing it here.
In its last image, it made me think of your work - which always bears your heart in it, as this does ours.

Thank you for the love you put back into the world.

The visuals were an embodiment of your words. Heartfull.
