The "Interbeing" short is done so well! Thank you.

was glad to hear you refused to participate in The Ritual, Charles, as i am currently searching for my voice in being able to do the same without creating more separation and division, but merely presenting my choice as the way i make choices about my body in other ways...not according to some other authority, or some standardized system, but only according to how i want it to be cared for to the extent i am able, for as long as i am able.

The Danny Gober link came up as “this video is private” on youtube, fyi.

Looks like Gober's podcasts are behind a paywall. See https://markgober.com/podcast/

Hi Bob, we’re you able to access the conversation under the section:

“Bonus material: Register here for unlimited access to 60+ hours of full-length interviews with world-leading experts ($33 one-time). The interviews are accessible via Vimeo, but cannot be downloaded.”

?

I’m very interested in hearing the conversation

Sure it’s the Mark Gober podcast? Charles did say “Danny”

Not sure, but good point. Maybe Danny is a nickname? I’m not familiar with him enough to know. I guess we wait and see.

Hi, Laurel. I did not try that <yet>. That is the paywall. $33 for full access. I have a suspicion that Charles posted the interview on youtube and then Mark Gober had an issue with it not being paywalled. If that is the case, hopefully they will work it out. I'd like to hear it as well, but not for $33.

Dear Charles, thanks for the shared links, nice animation!

There has been a question on my mind for some time, do you know the book "The Matter with things" by Iain McGilchrist? Having a reasonable hunch of your ideas / motivations from your writing and interviews, I think the idea put forward by McGilchrist could inspire your thinking, as there is a facet of reality that he describes so eloquently in his latest book, that I haven't sensed in your work. And besides it is a true pleasure to read, really a book like a good friend. I am sure you will/would love it. Perhaps you have read it already, then forget my question. All the best.

Wow, dude! Petty harsh on us Pagans with your “deconstructing a formerly stable Christian family-centric culture with psychedelics through neo pagan collectivism that’s perhaps not so paradoxically accomplishing the exact opposite of what it promised”. I am nothing like the “neo-pagans” as you describe them. I personally do not use psychedelics, but do not rule them out at some future date if the mushroom calls. Psychedelics are a tool, and like all tools, can be used or abused. Each soul is on their own journey to unity. How we get there is an intimate and private conversation with the Cosmic Consciousness. In my 63 years in this incarnation, I have not witnessed that christians have the market on stable family culture. Blessed be, Jason

The ONE thing I agree with you on: Saint Paul was most likely in the closet, hence his (paradoxical) homophobia and misogyny.

Why embed so much judgement in your words? It seems as though you're only posting for catharsis of "owning libs" by steelmanning some dogshit ideology.

Whatever it his that he's been smoking, seems to be far more potent than DMT or psilocybin, if his "logic" is any indication, lol.

There's not much we disagree on. The only thing I'm addressing is the overwhelming bitterness you spew into your "points" that ultimately come of as no more than petty egoic blithering. Words like stupid and banal are major turn offs. I would be more receptive to your beliefs if you would simply express them independently of your own resentment. The concerns you express are worthy of consideration and are all to often understated. I'm not interested in debating you on your points. That would be fruitless as there are only certain aspects that I disagree with and the debates stemming from those disagreements would entail us both toiling over our computers in perpetuity until one of us says uncle. However I would like to hear you elaborate on the idea of that aforementioned parasite. How is it that hippies, new agers, pagans, and self proclaimed psychonauts are part of the parasite and how exactly would you define "the parasite"? I'd also like to hear more on your belief of what constitutes an acceptable rite of passage.

That's interesting. I've noticed this type of behavior exhibited very strongly among the groups you describe. I feel though that there are many individuals for whom involvement in these groups is benign and potentially beneficial provided they have the discernment prerequisite to not be subsumed by groupmind. I feel that much of the love and light type people do have something of value to offer. Although for those who do not have a strong immune system I see critical risk for passivity and escapism resultant from involvement with these groups. It seems to come down to the psychic constitution of the individual.
