Ah, I've also been focusing on staying sane and appreciating ourselves for navigating the greatest psyops in the history of the world. Never has gaslighting been possible on such a global scale. We're in a time of unprecedented mental turbulence and yet we're still here, still caring, still keeping each other safe, still laughing. Every day take a bow to your sensible, sensitive self. The world is in good hands--yours!

Halfway through your talk - when the birds celebrated the sunset - I ran out into the paddock to an old gum tree. I threw myself against its smooth white trunk in the howling wind and cried from the depths of my being. For the pain of what we’ve done to our beautiful world, for the shame I cannot wash away, for the innocence we’ve lost.

This is going to take kindness and gentleness and time. Had no idea these were still festering in my heart.

Catalyst. Thank you. ❣️

Hi Charles,

I first discovered you when I was questioning and reformulating my own conception of reality back in 2020-21 - I think "The Coronation" was the first essay I read though the series on Mob Morality and the Unvaxxed were the ones that really resonated with me and brought me into your orbit, so to speak.

I love the way that you conceptualize the world: that we don't create our own reality, so to speak, but we create ourselves within our reality and thereby shape the future. That we are here both to experience and praise and exalt in the miraculous world we are part of and to *participate* in creating that world. That the path of "justice" and vengeance is never the path of wisdom, the path of the heart, the path to a more harmonious world.

I sometimes feel when I read your essays that I have nothing more to say, that I can just be quiet and let Charles do the talking, that I am not entirely alone in the way that I make sense of the world and my place in it.

I *do* have things to say, though, which is why I feel called to participate in this collective project, to write and at times to wonder at what voice exactly has been speaking through me.

I'm writing this partly as a request for invitation into whatever building communities you are witnessing and helping to coalesce in real life. I have been more closely involved in the virtual community surrounding John Michael Greer over the last decade or so, and while that has been helpful and I find his perspectives extremely insightful there is a distinct absence of *heart* in Greer and in his community. It is very intellectual, philosophical, abstract, and at times - I would say - unnecessarily judgmental.

I'm also writing this to say that I would like to contribute my own writings, my own perspectives, to the extent that they may help to coalesce this new timeline that you and I seek to collaboratively call into being. You can find them at Dendroica on Substack, and if you don't have time to read many I recommend starting with these:

Charles, I have only watched the first 30 mins so far--but promise to hear the rest. I feel the sanity of the reality you are perceiving and it feels like a powerful co-creative process you are inviting us into. Yes, we each are responsible for choosing a direction and actions that support the 'direct experience' of the truth that is leading us to 'true north' and a better world with people of greater integrity in their actions and engagements with each other. We are each responsible and this means that we must break out of the identity and lives we have chosen that are without value and integrity. Many won't be able to make this choice and they will go insane. And it is a constant choosing of 'true north' and valuing what is true and choosing those relationships that support these values in us. It will not be an easy life but it will be a vital and empowering life and you give words to the new story that we must live into. I am grateful for your vision and for your support of Bobby Kennedy Jr. as a man of high integrity who is certainly one of the beacons for this new world we must build.

That was insightful and profound. So many golden nuggets of truth came through you. It's interesting that you were able to articulate a thought that I've been meditating and praying on for the last two or three years. That thought is that there is actually a timeline that we're living in and another one that represents truth and transparency where honesty and kindness and morality are universal guiding principles and loving your neighbor and being loved by your neighbor is the rule rather than the exception. I find it interesting that we can bend the timelines toward one another to depart from where we are and re-enter the more desirable timeline our souls know is possible just by loving the person on our right and left. As someone that attended seminary school (but didn't graduate), that place called heaven is described like I envision the more desirable timeline. It's my hope that we can create that heaven on earth before we leave these perishable bodies and come to stand before Jesus in that day in which there is no sunset and no dawning. Thank you for that talk Charles. I hope our paths cross soon.

This is profound commentary thank you Charles.

The two reasons for being , the birds, the sunset, just beautiful ! Along with so many more pearls of wisdom. I need to watch this again.

In 5 years I envisage you will no longer need to write, as we will all have created a more beautiful heartfelt world.

I have a bumper sticker that says: "If you are not in awe you are not paying attention". Your talk points to that. Thank you Charles, we need you to keep reminding us to keep our heads above the muck. 🙏☮ Margi.

Humanity has gone so far off course, over many millennia, that I don't think we can return to where we should be on our own.

By 'on our own' I mean homo sapiens, our species, ourselves. Maybe the other fauna will come to our aid, if we let them. Although we don't deserve it after the many ways we have exploited other creatures for so long. Or perhaps God will intervene, even though many of us don't believe He/She even exists. But at least some people recognise, or are beginning to recognise, our predicament. That's a start.

However our dilemma is so serious that I don't believe it is amenable to a "human" solution, like better politics for example. But it looks like that prospect is beginning to capture the hearts and minds of astute observers and commentators, like Charles. What RFK offers is so much better than anything else on the table that it is undeniably attractive to many of us. Yet even that, I believe, is a pale shadow of what we could achieve with a little help from 'outside' (if we're not too proud to seek it).

So maybe we have to advance further along the path we are on before we finally realise that we cannot do it ourselves. Let's hope our potential saviours, whoever they are, are still around to help us when we reach that point.

"will you believe a blatant lie", EXACTLY!

holding the line, but actually feel we are at another moment in time to choose, feeling the pendulum shift.

When I first joined Facebook back around 2010 I was unemployed at the time so I listed my job as “CEO of Staying Sane in an Insane World” because I knew how backwards things were becoming. Guess I was ahead of the times...

Thank you, Charles. I'm so glad I listened to the entire talk. The best part for me was the last question from the audience - and I want to give a big shout-out to the young man who asked it as well as Charles' eloquent response (1:44:32 - Duty vs embodied knowing; rethinking “The Princess and the Pea”). Listening to our bodies and not overriding their wisdom is absolutely essential. Our bodies know long before our minds in most cases. They will guide the way. Overriding leads to a form of gaslighting of our very souls, then speaks in symptoms of anxiety, crisis and despair.

To the young man conflicted about work for greening of cities, and trusting his body's wisdom - I hope you read this; you are on the right track, and I'm sure you will be a forerunner for your generation as you are ahead of the curve, so to speak. You have my support.

I really was enjoying your talk until you got to the easy crowd pleaser about conservatives who hate immigrants. Right there you lost your footing and you lost me for falling into the demagogy of directing hate which you were trying to redirect others from doing. I wish you well with your Sanity Project and most of all I hope you will not harm RFK Jr. with your narcissism and turn against him, as I see you might do if you are not coddled every step of the way. Please keep your eye on the prize and if you are truly interested in furthering his efforts, try to avoid, as he avoids, directing easy anger onto others.

Interesting questions raised about audience/community. I think people in an audience may expect to be led (externalized), in a community people are more likely to take ownership (internalized). My sense, the latter is a better catalyst for change.

Would you be willing to post this on your podcast? I don’t have regular access to WiFi so it is challenging to listen to lengthier videos on a platform like YouTube that doesn’t allow downloading. I’d like to be able to download it on the podcast app and listen when I’m able.
