I love that this post touches upon taboo truths. I'm reminded of Phillip K. Dick's quote, "To fight the Empire is to be infected by its derangement … Whoever defeats the Empire becomes the Empire; it proliferates like a virus … thereby it becomes its enemies." When I see others touching upon these truths, it gives me courage and affirms my intuition of a water rising. I've been feeling a change in the air in recent weeks... that new depths of possibility and "miracle" are becoming available, and that this is only set to accelerate... that immense change is stirring beneath the surface façade of a "great reset" - a 'Great Reset' of priorities, shall we say. Thanks for sharing.

Holy (very holy) shit. I just got turned on my head...and am now enjoying and benefiting from this yogic posture. What a way to start the day...on my head!

Thank you for this post. I've been thinking about this when I see the yard signs that say, "hate has no home here" and I know the intention comes from a goodhearted place, but it does make me wonder, where does hate have a home then? How can we process and feel our own inner hatred if we deny it? We are left with no option then but to act out our hatred in the name of 'goodness' or 'being right.'

Great article Charles. I remember believing as a child that wars were fought between good and evil. I realise now as I venture into my 6th decade, that wars are fought over who’s version of good is the right one. Curious to know what you make of The Way of the Mandalorian 👍🏼🤠🍂

Such a good and beautiful reflection! And as a metaphor for 'now'. Thanks Charles and Darth!

For example, sentences that resonate very much with me are:

"- That whole way of thinking—Who are the good guys? Who are the bad guys?

- Any negative emotion that is suppressed plays out in distorted, extreme, and often violent form.

- A shadow name upon initiation to reveal those parts of ourselves that we deny in fear and shame.

- so sure of their identity as champions of good that they believed any measures were justified if it served their aims.

- Who would wear a (horrifying) mask?

- I hope my tale will inspire you to do the work of the Sith (truth)—to reveal that which is hidden, in yourself and in the world;

- Our poet Rumi called it a field, beyond all ideas of good and evil, dark and light, right and wrong. Meet me there.”

I myself literally and figuratively do not wear masks: not for my face, not for my mouth, not for my heart. I do not participate in the puppet show (expression in Dutch). Eyes/mouths/hearts want to shine. Want to be seen, felt and lived by all. 'Gezellig' (there isn't an english word for this dutch word; cosy?) together. In safe and reliable: freedom and connection.

And what would the world look like if everyone were aware for a week that they reflect their own thoughts and personal development?!

I myself do not only focus on less minus, but also on more plus. A heart wants to live fully and it wants to serve. We don't need negativity (by a negative diagnosis/a disease), neither in the world nor in yourself, to discover our life/Self, isn't it?!! So beautiful and important to experiment, be creative, get more awareness, live the love. And to color outside the lines, the beaten track. That can also be responsible.

What would be the story or awakenings behind a divine and lovely smile? Who is interested in this? What would it be to live the interbeing, in imaginations, thoughts, feelings, doings, beings. Resp: I (in own projections), all. Resp: in imagination and in real life. The time will come.

I would think the (only) time is now...

To be inspired or not.

To inspire yourself = ourselves. Isn't that beautiful?

And wonderful to be aware of and live (y)our own inspirations and passions..

Heh. We could do one about Star Trek too!

There is a TNG episode called "Skin of Evil" where Tasha Yar (played by actress Denise Crosby) is killed by an oily, black, amorphous being with incredible powers. When Troi is talking to the being, "Armus," he explains that he was created when angelic beings of light somehow mechanically extracted the dark evil sides of their personalities, in order to purify themselves. They left the planet thousands of years ago, flew off to enlighten the cosmos, and left him behind "like a cast-off skin".

Since marooning an intelligent, immortal creature on a completely empty, desolate planet forever, for no crime that the creature himself actually committed -- is arguably an evil act, it seems obvious to me that the angelic beings were fooling themselves about the nature of their transformation. Needless to say, Star Trek never encountered angelic beings of light who had absolutely no flaws. I often wonder how these angelic beings met their end, and if they realized at the end that their transformation has been a mistake.

For many years I knew that the force was unbalanced. I couldn’t understand how the Jedi didn’t see they were the ones causing much of the unbalance by fighting so much against the dark side. As I got older and more politically educated, I saw the error in the Jedi ways and I thought Luke did too after Episode VI and Episode VII. I no longer felt that either side had more righteous a war and the best depiction of that happens in Episode VIII when Benicio del Toro’s character, referred to as “DJ” (don’t join?) but has no name, shows another character, Finn, that the evil rich people whom Finn judges and is so upset with for building ships/weapons for The First Order, aka the “bad guys” are also building ships for The Resistance, aka the “good guys.” I think too many people slept on one of the realest moments in the Star Wars universe. The Banking Clan and other well financed entities within the universe are funding both sides so that no matter who “wins”, they win. They also orchestrate in the best interest of their financial supremacy and it’s displayed numerous times in the Star Wars universe but rarely ever put in the fore front of the story line. That’s exactly what happens in real life, what happens here - the banks are the ones orchestrating and benefiting from small petty quarrels to plandemic size disasters. When you follow the money trails, the truth is always right there on the ledgers.

Oooh, that was brave, messing with the Star Warps World! It doesn't work for me though, I am clinging on by a sliver to a world in which nothing much makes any sense when it comes to human behaviour and trying to change the goal posts between what is 'good' and what is 'evil' is just too, too much right now! It does remind me of a story which lately I have been comforted by - the 'Good news, Bad news, who can Say? Chinese parable. So when I feel the crushing of the jackboot upon my unvaccinated throat and I can't carry out my peaceful, lawful work teaching Tai Chi, I can (in a good moment) re-imagine my life elsewhere, in a smaller community somewhere far from this city, where we don't have to rely on public halls (from which I am barred) and a clientele who demand vax passports because they are filled with fear. I imagine bringing on that part of my life which I have always deferred to 'retirement years'. I can stop waiting to live my ACTUAL life, turn away from the mosh pit of frothy fear and division and live better with all the ways it is possible to do that. There will always be division but I would rather be arguing about the best way to grow potatoes than whether to take a fekn jab or not. SO OVER IT. Beam me up Scottie (just to mix up the Sci-Fi).......

Haha I used to be Jedi! Now I vacillate and sometimes commune between the Rumi quote and the “to reveal that which is hidden, in yourself and in the world; to dispel the lies; to expose the secrets; to question the doctrines; to break old stories and welcome the unruly truths they had imprisoned. A lot of truth is erupting in your time. “ it’s not always pretty, I wish I was as eloquent as you Charles, but I know for many of us it seems like we do not have a choice. Of course we do, but the urge so deep to be part of these times in this way.

We are all interconnected. Light, dark, good, evil. They are sides of the same coin.

When you look at nature, really look, it's very hard not to see that everything is part of the whole.

On a revelatory note, it occurred to me in yoga last night, when a young man (20s), who I know to be pfaxed and I've noted to be unusually struggling ever since, had to leave the class, due to heart elevation (he's ok as far as I know). I suddenly realised (i mean i knew that we are in a world wide experimental clinical trial, but suddenly I really understood that! Make sense?), that we are genuinely doing citizen science with these innoculations. It is up to us as citizen's to be scientists and notice the minor details, make notes and look after the trial participants.

Lately, I was feeling down because of the horrendous focus on "us" and "them", the good and bad, etc. If I'm darkly honest, I was beginning to polarize my own thoughts. Feeling negatively towards those that were/are trying to force me to comply. But now I don't. Just that simply.

I signalled the teacher, to check on the young man and he was struggling but ok.

We are all responsible for/to each other. It's not my job to judge others or show them erroneous thinking. It's my job, as part of this experiment, to be watchful, compassionate, keep the records and most importantly, care for those being brave (not stupid, not sheeple), consciously or not. Look out for them, whether they want or know it. Notice any subtle changes, and remember (document) them compassionately, as a humanity driven citizen scientist.

How about this: We drop all talk of good and bad, virtuous and evil, and simply remove the psychopaths and malignant narcissists from the picture. Put a stop to this 'B' grade soap opera that is inflicting such incredible damage.

Being that the psychopaths and malig-narcs have been the bane of humanity since forever, pushing aside these huge obstacles will go a long way toward removing a huge source of friction and re-establishing a new center-of-balance. This would give humanity a reasonable chance at creating something much better for ourselves. Clean up the mess, take out the trash, get back to work (on society, on your community, on yourself).

Replace all that with 'witch/heretic' and 'Protestant Church' and you've got a pretty good summary of the fight between good and evil that was going on in 16th and 17th centuries in Europe. Again, that history was written by the victors.

Love reading you Charles. You really are bringing words to the solution of the endless conflict. The reason I like you most in compared to other thinkers, is because I can feel genuinely the love within you for everyone without picking a side. There is so much modern wisdom that has no depth and is empty. Many of those thinkers are afraid to talk about “love” as if anything loving is shameful or cheesy. And others might use LOVE tooo much to be blind to what is in front of them. Your balance, roundness, clarity and love is so hard to find in thinkers today. I was not wrong when I found you 6 years ago and said you are the word of sanity for the complex divided world we live now. As well it has always been my mission since little girl to UNIFY without picking a side. ❤️

“… and allows the “heroic” person or nation to justify any act.”

Reminds me of Bush II and his “Axis of Evil” that helped him justify the Patriot Act and all the other losses of freedom that came about.

Buddha also taught that nature is perfect. And at the same time he taught that you go to hell for doing evil. It is perfect that Fauci will go to hell.
