Speaking of things that actually are important and are not likely to be psy-ops, has anyone in the Kennedy campaign talked to RFK honestly about his platform on Israel? He really needs to tone down his rah rah attitude about it. Sure Israel is our ally (unless they don't feel like it that day), and we give them a shit ton of money, more than we give any poor nation, but I don't think it does his candidacy any good to play down the horrific way they treat the Palestinians OR the actual history of Israel,, the Nabka, Zionism, etc. RFK's attitude toward Israel/Palestine seems to be stuck somewhere in the 1970s, and he seems totally unaware that Palestinians have no rights, that they can be shot on the spot for no reason without consequences for the shooter, that their houses that they have lived in for generations can be seized and given to Israeli settlers, that the olive trees upon which they depend can be blown up just for fun. He doesn't seem to know that almost all Palestinians treated this way are not engaged in anything illegal, and that Israeli politicians routinely refer to them as sub-human. In other words, the Israelis have become just exactly like the people who killed 6 million of them in the 1940s. Furthermore, the Israelis routinely try to control the US with Mossad agents like Epstein who collect info on the elite so they can be blackmailed. Now I am fully aware that RFK is thinking of the American Jewish electorate whose votes he needs, but surely he is aware that about 80% of US Jews these days lean liberal and do not consider themselves Zionists. In this too, he seems to be stuck in the 1970s with a US population who at that time had a very simplistic idea of Israel as "good guys" and Palestinians as "terrorists." The attitude of the world and the US population toward Israel has changed, due to the bad behavior of the Israeli government and many Israeli soldiers and citizens. I am a big fan of RFK, but he needs to develop some nuance in his Israel platform; he has alienated many on the actual left with his blinkered, simplistic, fawning attitude toward Israel, and it is especially odd because he has such deep and broad knowledge about so many other things, and is so awake to immorality and corruption.

Add one more ... the American people couldn't give two f---ks about Israel. They care about medical freedom and financial security. And I believe a lot of us care about free speech.

If he *doesn't* tone it down, my suspicions that he's just another cog in the wheel.

I mean, WTF, deleting a tweet about Roger Waters?? Any idiot with a few brain cells knows that Waters is not an anti-semite. I suppose if the Israeli Propaganda machine via the ADL and Haaretz can convice a bunch of Christians that it's their biblical/spiritual duty to support Israeli foreign policy, then we're all fucked anyway, but I think the +50% of the country that identifies as independent is smarter than that.

Then again, we've long overinflated our intelligence as a species. Sure, we make cool toys, but our critical thinking faculties are SO easily influenced by our own fears and insecurities.

I agree Linda and it's so painful to hear Bobby talk about Israel lately. From what I've observed and understand, criticism of Israel would be absolute, unequivocal political suicide. Change can only come once he's in office. So it's a real catch 22.

Other things you might have observed and understood:

- Covid19 was dangerous to all people regardless of age or health status.

- Russia invaded Ukraine for no reason

- Ukraine's current rulers arrived in power organically

- Donald Trump colluded with Russia

- Barack Obama changed everything

- Iraqi soldiers threw babies in incubators on the ground and stole the equipment

etc., etc., etc.,

Guess what else wasn't in Charles' top 10 of things Americans care about?

I’ve always found it astonishing that the worst thing anyone can be these days is cast as an anti-Semite. Like, any criticism whatsoever of the Jewish nation, or Judaism or an individual Jewish person and you are savaged by righteous indignation. It’s a symptom of the pendulum effect, which has swung so far to an out of balance perspective and seems to have been captured in that position. A few Jewish people are speaking up about it but it needs a consistent effort by many more. Is it something to do with the idea of a ‘chosen people’? Do we need to bring that out and examine it?

Expand full comment

It has a lot to do with the theological and cultural mindset seeing themselves as chosen, yes. And also with a very long history of adapting a way of life that insulates their society and its traditions through periods of slavery, nomadism, and persecution, etc. Probably the most formative challenge they've experienced was that final casting out from Israel in which they ceased to exist as a nation, and only existed afterward as a diaspora of Jewish peoples. The idea behind this move, on the part of their Roman conquerors, was that they would inevitably assimilate into their host nations and effectively disappear entirely, putting an end to their constant threat of revolt against the empire. Instead, what exile did was force a cultural shift to an even more extreme strategy of insularity and separation from the societies that became host to them, leading to the long and tumultuous cycle of conflict that culminated in the Holocaust and eventual conquest of their perceived birthright of Israel.

It's a survival strategy that has worked extraordinarily well for them, but being "a people set apart from the world" doesn't jive so well when you're also a people living within someone else's world.

That's the more forgiving way of answering that question, at least. Obviously there's a very wide range of opinions on the degree to which they are responsible for and/or deserving of the not super great treatment they've received from their host nations, but there's a strong argument to be made about the ways in which their unique survival strategy traditionally has involved methods that prove to be, intentionally or unintentionally, detrimental to whatever larger culture is in their immediate proximity. There's no end to all that could be said on this topic, but if you want a good illustration of the kind of mentality and behavior this kind of social structure fosters in the world we currently live in (or previously lived in, perhaps), I always come back to the story about the controversy over the allegedly ‘antisemitic’ lyrics in "They Don't Care About Us" by Michael Jackson. That one never fails to hit my "are you f*cking kidding me" button.

Hopefully that answers your question, or was at least coherent. 🤙

Thanks SecureEddie for taking the time to reply so thoughtfully. I have been doing a bit of research into the slavery issue, which was something the Jewish people themselves did to each other as well as non-Jews and also of their various exiles - same as the Vikings, the Goths, the Romans, the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Anglo-Saxons, the Gauls ...... It's all pretty dense and complicated. It all seems to have been driven by the same old systems of hierarchy based on wealth, power, family dynasty - and supported by the political capture which we see today. All other subclasses of people are herded into the various funnels for maintaining that elite strata of existence through private commerce yes but also through control of all systems supported by our TAXES. Health, Education and National Security, particularly. The upheaval of the last few years has revealed this elite more clearly than at any other time, to more people than ever before and now their existence is under threat. Everything else is a distraction away from dismantling what we can see, an utterly corrupt and vicious amoral upper class that are fighting for their survival - admittedly from the luxury of private jets and private islands but they know we do have the numbers, if only we could come together on the serious matter of eliminating the power this class has. Our politics HAS to eject the cancerous tumours of the reigning capitalists and war-mongers. Our politicians MUST be left to fully voice their opinions without having to take cultural affiliations that are not in the common interest. So it's time for more Jewish people to stand up and say how ridiculous and damaging the name calling is. The holocaust - any holocaust is an abomination, of COURSE it is but we have to see who the real enemy is right now and not be distracted by these dangerously fulminating cultural appropriations.

Serendipity... last night, while watching the UKColumn's latest news (alternative not mainstream), the presenters also mentioned that they were concerned that RFK supports Israel against the Palestinians and Syrians, when there is ample evidence that most of the people in these small nations are not terrorists. Hopefully, with more people speaking out, as Charles says above, RFK will pause to examine the real facts of the matter, that show Israel is not squeaky-clean.

Pretty clear that lots of stuff not explainable by our normal secular understanding of the universe has occurred for millennia. Not surprising that folks with vested financial interests in "they are out there", keep finding evidence that "they are out there." Just like religious powers publicized supernatural miracles and visitations in ways that just happened to be in line with their priorities.

I am open and awed by the unimaginable strangeness and beauty of creation. Sceptical of those selling me their interpretations of it.

Funny the host quotes John keel.

Did you know that at older age, he started to see that it's a psychological phenomenon?

It's very similar to religious experiences and illustrates that even atheists have beliefs that override what they see!

Check out this bit from a Robert Anton Wilson book:

"Daimonic Reality by Patrick Harpur examines UFOs and a wide variety of “paranormal” phenomena from a rather unique angle. Although Harpur never fully defines the daimonic—“the daimonic that can be defined is not the true daimonic,” as Lao-Tse would say—it seems to exist both inside us and outside us. Like the Greek daemon and unlike the Christian demon, it takes both good/healing and bad/terrifying forms, depending on our commitment to rationalistic ego states.

In a sense, the daimonic is like the collective unconscious of Carl Jung, inside us as a part of our total self that the ego wishes to deny, outside us in all the other humans who ever existed and in the dreams, myths, and arts of all the world. But Harpur follows Irish poet (and Golden Dawn alumnus) W. B. Yeats as often as he follows Jung, and traces some of his ideas back to Giordano Bruno and the alchemical/hermetic mystics of the Renaissance. The daimonic is just a bit more personalized and individualized than Jung’s species unconscious.

Harpur’s major thesis is that unless we recognize the daimonic (make friends with it, Jung would say) it takes increasingly malignant and terrifying forms. For instance, the Greys of UFO abduction lore, he says, are deliberately mirroring our ego-centered and “scientistic” age—showing no emotions of the humans they experiment upon, just as the ideal science student feels no emotion and has no concern with the emotions of the animal being tortured in his laboratory."

Despite dealing with many subjects common to conspiracy theories, this book does not quite fit into that category. We are the conspirators, so to speak. We have repressed the most creative part of ourselves and now it is escaping in terrifying forms."

Part of the reason so many people have been easily fooled with lies, fabrications, misdirection and misunderstanding with the Covid fiasco is because of ignorance. How many people have read about , studied and understand biochemistry, the operation of biolabs, the biology of viruses, the history of vaccine financing, manufacturing and legislation, etc, etc. When you have little knowledge in an area, you tend to lean more on the opinion of "experts". Just look at how censorship, ridicule, fear of career loss, etc. was used very effectively these last few years to persuade people that this virus did not come out of a lab, that the US had nothing to do with bio-weapons research, that the virus was extremely deadly, that the vaccines were completely safe, and on and on. The deception worked and IS STILL WORKING on a LOT OF PEOPLE. Well, the SAME EXACT OPERATION has been going on with the UFO subject for 100 years. Just read a few books on the subject and you'll see what I mean. Read "Witness to Roswell" by Schmitt and Carey, "UFOs and the National Security State" by Richard Dolan, and "Flying Saucers are Real" by Donald Keyhoe. Like Greer has said when asked "where is the evidence" he answers "there is so much, I don't know where to begin".

To your point about learning about bio labs to avoid being fooled into the Covid fiasco… I didn’t know anything about biolabs. But, I did know about pharma’s criminal history and I knew that everything the public health officials recommend everyone do to “stay safe” was actually very harmfulness to human health. “Stay afraid, don’t touch others, wear a mask, stay indoors, isolate, use hand sanitizer and bleach everything, eat processed garbage food and drink alcohol while you sit in your home watching endlessly hours of tv, take an experimental gene therapy laced with PEG, take two…three…four…- those are all things you do if you want to become ill.

I apparently do need to look into UFOs I guess. I know nothing about them and am not sure where they fit into reality. I kind of assumed it was sensationalism meant to distract but I’m open to new information.

The tendency to believe someone based on impressions of sincerity or confidence is capitalized on by charlatans all the time, particularly career politicians. However, that does not mean that ALL sincere individuals are lying, regardless of their background. The best way I have found to determine if what someone is saying is accurate is to study the history behind what they are saying and see if the context of their comments is corroborated by prior documents, interviews, books etc. It is very unlikely that a charlatan would spend any time studying history to make sure their story was corroborated by other remote sources. As I mentioned in my prior comment, a cursory review of some well researched historical books on UFOs will demonstrate that what Grusch said has been previously articulated multiple times by many prior whistleblowers, going back many decades. Just like with the Covid operation, this information has been effectively removed from the public square by a combination of censorship, ridicule, propaganda, and career truncation.

I agree the young age and intelligence background is suspicious. 99.99% of ex military and intelligence take their secrets to the grave. It's the .01% of them I like to read about. The high quality whistleblower testimonies, even from ex intelligence or military are the guys with terminal cancer or in their 80s or 90s who are not worried about losing their career or their life. Even if this guy is playing a current active intelligence role, it may be to leak something that is actually true for some other agency agenda.

This is the most interested I have been when having someone express belief in extra terrestrial life. I have always assumed it was the government’s way of distracting attention from whatever they are covering up or some sort of sensationalism that’s mixed with people’s delusions or hopes and fantasies. (I don’t mean to use “people’s delusions” in a disrespectful way, I have great respect for those suffering from mental illness and have had close family members go through some serious mental disorders that caused them to feel that they had all sorts of interesting experiences that were not actually real but rather figments of a broken mind and the resulting false memories that were created.)

Coast to Coast always made me smile a bit.

At this point, I don’t actually believe that humans even went to the moon, after looking at the evidence. But, I’m certainly open to learning more about extra terrestrial life so that I can make a more informed decision. My husband would be thrilled if I started believing in the moon landings but he would be horrified if I started believing in aliens.

After the Covid PSY-OP, I feel less trusting of “experts” more than I ever have in my entire life but I certainly don’t want to be so jaded that I miss a truth.

Free abundant energy would be amazing. I just want to spend all my time in nature and grow the most amazing garden and have lots of animals. I do those things to some degree but it’s expensive and stressful. Just living in the climate I live in requires lots of energy. Doing all those additional things and also taking care of financial obligations that come from such pursuits is very difficult. Having free abundant energy would change everything and make living more in line with nature more of a possibility. I think. There are so many things I don’t even know about regarding all the changes that would come about if that were to happen. Are we on the edge?

I haven't quite finished reading this conversation, though I will. It's compelling. There's a CE-5 community here in Australia and my brother is a participant. We occasionally discuss the subject of extra-terrestrial life and the possibility/probability of other dimensions. I'll share your essay with him.

The idea of readiness and maturity of humans to accept such information, the way 'reality' is maintained, is an important conversation to hold. Of course, so many of us have had unusual experience that defy conceptions of reality - what may be scientifically inexplicable. I have, since childhood, and have long thought that science may not have developed explanations, evidence or theories - yet, which doesnt mean it didnt happen. Contemplative philosophies have held alternative perspectives about reality for millennia, such as Buddhism - which is no longer disparaged as occult or othrredthrough western and colonialist values.

Writers, poets and artists provide metaphors and mirrors for other realities, that - unlike lived experience accounts - cannot be so easily dismissed as delusional.

Thank you, Charles, for sharing these valuable and important perspectives.

FWIW, an advance in technology that far would more than likely render many gigantic corporations, or potentially entire industries, bankrupt, practically overnight. Not to mention the incredibly powerful motive to secure the strategic advantage of being the sole military power capable of weilding whatever offensive capabilities might be reverse engineered, and the equally powerful motive to keep that advantage a secret until a) it's actually been developed and b) there's a reason to expend the element of surprise.

And that's to say nothing of the massive incentives to avoid a public panic, or the never-ending list of more nefarious motives for covering up something so potentially earth-shattering. The US government could make silencing whistleblowers into an Olympic sport at this point, and it's not like there's ever been a point in modern history that the intelligence agencies haven't been scrambling to keep some new scandal or fuckup under wraps, so I'm not sure this qualifies as healthy skepticism...

I wonder if it's too early to say they aren't "human"? Or at least some type of Homo Genus species? What if.. in some past space/time.. there was an "advanced" humanoid species..not too different than us and a cataclysmal event happened? Like a mass extinction. What if these "people" had the technology to go under the surface of the Earth and thrive on alternative energy sources and advanced tech? And the uncooperative/competitive ones were left on the surface to refigure it out after the event.

The videos I've seen of unidentified objects include crafts that submerge.

Beginning evolution classes teach that there is more diversity within a species, than between species, and the variations are linked to their unique ecosystem/environments.

I don't think what we are witnessing is from "out there". Just another more intelligent branch of Homo Genus that has adapted to a different environment on the planet.

We wouldn't recognize minerals or materials that occur where they occupy.

Thanks Charles, your words about our purpose on this earth to enhance life, to unfold more beauty and aliveness resonates so much with Heideggers thinking about "Poetically inhabiting the world", or Poetic dwelling. Just in case you haven't read it i bet you will love it deeply. It's an accesible text, for bien Heidegger. Here some key points summarized by our fellow other being, (AI) with "whom" we now dwell on this earth.

• For Heidegger, dwelling does not just mean physically residing in a place, but involves a more poetic and attuned relationship to the world.

• Poetic dwelling involves being open and sensitive to the world, seeing the uniqueness and richness in things, and experiencing a deeper sense of wonder.

• It involves thinking and acting in a creative and imaginative way, rather than just functionally or instrumentally. The poetic dwelled attunes themselves to the deeper meanings and mysteries of beings.

• Poetic dwelling aims to rediscover a richer relationship to the world that has been lost in modern life, which Heidegger sees as "homeless". He criticizes the functional and utilitarian approach to technology.

• Language and etymology are central to poetic dwelling for Heidegger. He explores the original meanings of words like "building" and "dwelling" to reveal their connection to truth and revealing.

• He sees language as the "house of Being" and argues that cultivating a poetic sensitivity to language can help us re-learn how to dwell authentically.

• Poetic dwelling ultimately points the way to re-opening ourselves to the mystery of Being. It offers a way to re-experience truth and rediscover a sense of wonder at the world.

• Heidegger's notion of poetic dwelling highlights the imaginative, creative and attuned aspects of really living in and inhabiting the world - "letting beings be" in their essence.

So in summary, poetic dwelling for Heidegger involves seeing the world not just as something present-at-hand for our use, but as something that envelops and invites our participation in a fuller, more imaginative way - attuning us to the mysteries of Being.
