Economics - I heard that the Egyptians had a monetary system that ensured a velocity of money. All money had a date on it and the value of that money went down every year. This effectively made it inadvisable to hoard money, and also made it difficult to become super wealthy without contributing. I hope you comment on this notion in your upcoming essay

Yes, that's true. But it is possible to manipulate, and generally not a sufficient disincentive to prevent hoarding. Imagine 10% per year. After 10 years your money is worth zero. It has the possibility of being a very stable economic environment, as everyone knows how it works.
The inflation occurring now though has the features of lack of reinvestment and hoarding money. Those who got insanely wealthy hoarding money then had the power to rig the system and use borrowed money from the fed to create more wealth and lowering the value of the dollar for all of us.

What if a person made enough money to retire on by their mid-50s & became too disabled to work again?
That’s me. Under normal circumstances I’d have been fine until my numbers up.
Under the digital money destruction, I’d get poor just as I got my last decade without no possibilities of even keeping the lights on.
I’d be fine with it so long as there was free euthanasi!
Hypothetically speaking, right?
I like it. It would seem to be a very interesting experiment, if nothing else!
That's adorable! Thanks!

Wow, that's cool!
