Ooh, does this mean we can talk about exosomes?

a.k.a. tiny inter/intracellular messengers that carry proteins, nutrients, and snippets of genetic code (RNA and DNA) between and among cells of the body that are often indistinguishable from viruses under electron microscopy and that become present in higher concentration in tissues that are unhealthy or distressed by environmental toxins or lack of resources. I'd like it if we all talked more about exosomes.

What if viruses ARE exosomes, mistaken for "viruses" and misunderstood? Since exosomes may (I'm not sure, not being a scientist that studies them) only be present, or identifiable, when a person is "ill," it would be easy to misunderstand their function, and consider them "invaders," when they might actually be sort of janitorial... ?
